I am not a skilled knitter but have managed some simple patterns.  This sweater and hat will go to our Hospital Auxiliary to sell in the gift shop.
If you are Canadian and love curling and watched the Ladies' final game, can we say WOW! what a game and Saskatchewan won over Jennifer Jones.  It was a whole week of super entertainment and now it's over I must get back to important things.

I finished this quilt last week.  The pattern is "Awesome" Lap Quilt from the Moda Bakeshop by Jamie Mueller. I used traditional fabrics but with the modern design it has more of a punch.  Jamie has done a great job on the tutorial and I think I may make another one.

I did straight line stitching on the strips and some cross stitching on the squares.  This quilt is for the back of a sofa, I call it the dog's quilt!  He already has one for the cushions because when his mom's at work he and the cat have the run of the house and guess where he likes to sleep.  We love him dearly even if he's a mere 75 lb. golden retriever.  You'll hear more about him from time to time.

NEW BEGINNING

I started this blog a few months back so I could take part in a Quilt Along over at A Few Scraps.  I wasn't prepared well enough to set up a  blog so I have been researching my options.  I ask for your patients as I work on the different tabs I have set up.  So if you have stopped by, welcome and thank you.  I am open to any comments and suggestions you might have.
